In light of the ongoing international Coronavirus outbreak the tough decision has been made by the organisers of Record Store Day to postpone the event until 20th June.
This decision was made with the health and safety of both RSD customers and staff in mind and reflects the global concerns regarding the virus outbreak. Obviously this is a huge blow to all the shops, record labels, artists and distributors who have been working hard towards the date but we hope we can make the new June date and even bigger celebration of indie record stores!
Information is still coming in to us and obviously the situation is still very changeable so we may find that the titles on the product list change between now and June. For those who have already sent in their wants lists, we have these on file so thanks! For everyone else we ask you to hang fire and we’ll start the whole process again nearer the time.
Always the optimists we’re looking forward to what should be the sunniest RSD yet, plus having more time to plan will give us a chance to make sure the day really goes off with a bang! For now stay safe, look out for each other and Wash yer hands!
